Perk Up Your Open Kitchen Counter Height Bar Stools
With nice wooden counter height bar stools, you can turn your kitchen counter into a real utilitarian part of your house. If you’ve been inside an American house with its kitchen open to the dining area and the living room, you must notice a lot of tall counters that serve as faux division between kitchen and living room or dining room. Some of them are actually bar height tables (around 40-42 inches with seats of usually 30 inches). Counter tables are usually around 36 inches and seats are between 22-24 inches). Most of the time, they are unused (spotless because of lack of use) or used for the wrong reasons (overflowing with papers and other odds and ends for the kitchen). It is such a big waste. Kitchen counter tops are good breakfast place, it is casual and less intimidating and certainly easier to clean than the big dining table. And it can also be a good place for kids to hang out while Mom is busy in the kitchen. |
